After many years of doing the famous Maloof rocker, I was asked to consider teaching classes to show others how they too, can learn to build the chair. So after many considerations I have decided to start offering classes to those that want to learn the art of Rocker making and even more so, how to sculpt wood. After taking this class, the skills learned in my class will allow you to open up and really take on projects that you would normally not do, and the techniques will become a staple of your woodworking skills. Cost $2,800 including materials

this is link from the Rocker class I taught in Virginia..Enjoy..

Here is a trailer video of the rocker class I did at my So. Calif. shop

I also teach a veneering class where you would learn the art of veneering and inlaying. Many designs cannot be done in solid woods for many reasons such as cost for highly figured woods and wood movements and veneer is a solution to both of these problems. While some may frown on the use of veneers, I can assure you that using veneer, when done correctly, can produce some extraordinarily unbelievable beautiful pieces that last many generations or more.  Cost $800.00 materials included

I only take on no more than 2 students at a time. I firmly believe that having just two students affords me and the students attention they deserve and allows the class to flow smoothly. I am right there with the student the whole time and showing and explaining as the class progresses, preventing mistakes and helping both along. My Rocker and veneering classes are very private classes and upon completion, knowledge of how to take on various woodworking and veneering projects will be simplified and easy.
